About Loyola University New Orleans

Loyola was established in 1904 by Jesuit priests, firmly rooting the institution in the Jesuit beliefs of educating the whole person. Much of our colorful and distinguished history can be seen in those who call Loyola their alma mater: people who went on to become city leaders, teachers, scientists, attorneys, pharmacists, musicians, and business executives.

Campus life

The campus is 24 acres on historic oak-lined St. Charles Avenue in Uptown New Orleans; directly across from Audubon Park and Audubon Zoo, with expansive green space and lagoons, a golf course, tennis courts and riding stables; 20 minutes from the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans.

Student Accommodation at Loyola University New Orleans

Living on campus in one of five residence halls gives you opportunities to meet new people and make friends, go to campus events, join student organizations, and participate in leadership experiences.

Currently, first-year and sophomore students living on campus must have a weekly meal plan. Upper-class students (Junior standing and above) living on campus must carry at least a $500 Wolf Bucks Only plan and may choose any higher plan at their option. Commuter students have the option to choose from any meal plan or Wolf Buck increments.
