Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Students normally need to have a minimum of 12 years of schooling with good grades
  • GCSE/IGCSE : 5 A-C. New grades 9-4 in English and Maths. Relevant subjects, no native language
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 26 points subject pass level 3
  • O Level: 5 A-C
    Including relevant subjects, C in Maths, no native language
  • UCAS tariff : A/AS levels: 24 UCAS points (previously 80 UCAS)

About Faculty

The International Foundation Year is a three-term programme of academic subjects, study skills and English language training designed to help international students succeed in a UK classroom environment and meet the entry requirements for undergraduate study.

Once you complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University.
