Academic Requirements
Typical entry requirements are described on each of our course pages. The wide range of qualifications that we consider include:
- A-levels

- Practicing professional qualifications
If you have not already completed your qualifications, our typical offer will require you to achieve specific grades in three A-levels (or equivalent). We are also happy to consider your application if you are taking a mixture of A-levels and BTECs, or qualifications other than A-levels. If your results fall short of the offer level by a small margin, your results in other qualifications such as the Extended Project, a Core Maths qualification or an additional AS-level may be taken into account. We want you to stand the best chance of benefiting from an Essex Education.
Egypt: Previous university/college study is required in addition to local high school qualifications for our Undergraduate Bachelor degree courses.
We accept a number of international qualifications, including the International Baccalaureate with the majority of our courses requiring a grade between 29 – 32 or the SATR with the majority of our courses requiring a minimum of 1100 out of 1600 with 550 in each test.

7676 overall, with a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

66.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
PTE Pearson
5050 overall, with a minimum of 42 in each component
About Faculty
We will equip you with the knowledge and skills to contribute to this rapidly-changing and innovative industry, or to academic research in the area of robotics. Our courses uniquely combines electronic engineering and computer science, allowing you to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as navigation, motion control, sensory perception, autonomous decision making, and machine learning.
