Athletics

Nearly half of Whittier College students participate in varsity and intramural sports at Whittier College- from Division Ill basketball and lacrosse to inner tube water polo and club rugby.

Whittier College is a residential four-year liberal arts institution in Southern California, located between downtown Los Angeles and Downtown Disney. Whittier prepares students from diverse backgrounds to excel in a complex global society.

Whittier’s Career Center prepares students through personal coaching that identifies and combines the unique qualities of their authentic self (their personality, innate talent, skills, coursework, and campus involvement) to develop a personal brand they’ll carry forward into their professional life.

The Career Center maintains a student-centered environment that focuses on their unique needs while connecting them to a support system that will guide them to and through their first internship or first job after graduation.

Whittier College is located in Southern California, halfway between downtown Los Angeles and Downtown Disney.

The campus is situated on the eastern edge of historic Uptown Whittier, on Painter Avenue, between Philadelphia Street and Earlham Drive.

Whittier College is a residential community where the vast majority of students live in one of seven residence halls that grace the campus – Ball, Campbell, Johnson, Harris, Stauffer, Turner, and Wanberg.

Some large and some small, each hall has an individual architectural style and interior décor, and each year, develops a personality unique to its inhabitants.
